Since the second season of Peacemaker concluded its explosive run on HBO Max, with its twists of the Nazi multiverse and a hint at Lex Luthor’s shadowy schemes, Gunn says: There is no season 3 in production as of now. Peacemaker’s Suicide Squad spin-off which begins in 2022 is a mixture of raw humor and heart-wrenching redemption. We loved the first season which hooked us with Cena’s vulnerable brute. Season 2 makes it more extreme, incorporating multiverse mayhem and HBO Easter eggs The critics are the shoutout-Rotten Tomatoes is 95% fresh. Fans? They are asking on social media for more of it.
Viola Davis’ no-nonsense boss lady, who gets her own series, is confirmed to be in the development phase. Peacemaker cameos were expected, along with Ratcatcher 2 and Bloodsport. Even juggling The Authority, those ultra-violent anti-heroes, Gunn still says it can be tricky to overlap with Superman.
