The plot is straightforward but frightening. Chicago was targeted by an unidentified missile. Why Are Viewers Divided?
The finale was extremely controversial. You never saw the missile hit. The movie ends with credits at the time the President is about to make the decision on whether to take revenge or surrender to the defeat of Chicago in order to prevent nuclear war. Added a spark to the drama, the Pentagon disputed the film’s accuracy on October 25 as misrepresenting its missile defense picture. According to the Missile Defense Agency, the film doesn’t reflect current defense capabilities.
