A New Chapter for Sam Fisher
Liev Schreiber is voiced by the iconic Sam Fisher, replacing the previous voice actor, Michael Ironside, who played Fisher in the original game. This story starts where the previous game concluded, with Fisher living his retired life on a remote farm in rural Poland. His quiet life is disrupted when agent Zinnia McKenna suddenly arrives at his doorstep in need of evacuation from enemy territory.
The series stays relevant to the universe of Tom Clancy, but it brings new plots. Fisher collaborates with Fourth Echelon agents, such as Grim, voiced by Janet Varney and McKenna voiced by Kirby Howell-Baptiste. The three of them address corporate spying, online threats, and misinformation about climate change.
Animation Meets Espionage
The animation was done by Danish-French studio Sun Creature and French studio Fost. The visual aesthetic is an excellent recreation of the dark, gritty tone that gamers associate with the games. The reaction to reviews has been positive on how the show handles action sequences and character development.
