When 18 stars participated in the world’s toughest reality TV challenge, no one guessed that only two would make it. You can find out how Olympic gold medalist Shawn Johnson and influencer Gia Giudice went through brutal interrogations, survived their celebrity opponents, and made Fox’s Special Forces Season 4 a season to remember.

The world’s toughest test Special Forces Season 4 has left fans breathless. It is aired on Fox in September 2025 and is shot on Morocco’s unforgiving terrain. The show has selected 18 celebrities which include athletes, reality stars, and social media influencers to the limit.

Under the supervision of top Special Forces veterans, participants were subjected to vigorous military challenges, in which they were tested for physical stamina, agility, and most of all endurance. Each episode showcased real-life military-related exercises that included mud crawls, submerging in water and being subjected to gut wrenching interrogations.

There was nothing like the shocking finale on November 20. There were only five celebrities who made it through the nine-day selection; Gia Giudice, Shawn Johnson East, Kody Brown, Brianna LaPaglia, and Andrew East. The heart-thumping climax of the finale captures the last recruits and forces them into a simulated enemy interrogation process.

Many of the contestants were broken, with sacks on their heads and extreme psychological pressure, such as being buried alive. Shawn and Gia were the only ones who did not give up on their cover stories and survived the emotional assault. Andrew, Kody and Brianna failed to pass the final test and could not resist such psychological pressure.

This was a historic season: only two contestants — Gia Giudice and Olympic gold medalist Shawn Johnson East — survived the brutal course, the lowest completion rate in the history of the show (only 11%). It wasn’t just that they survived reality TV but actually that they triumphed in a condensed version of Special Forces Selection, which is passed down as one of the most difficult tests in the world.

Special Forces Season 4 sets a new milestone for those who love high-stakes drama, celebrity challenges, and survival TV. With social media abuzz with responses to its outrageous twists and the online community searching for winners, one thing is certain: making it through the world’s most challenging reality series means not only fame, but real grit.
