Audiences who have been desperately waiting for the spooky Halloween episode will have to wait a little longer. Adult Swim has postponed the much-hyped Smiling Friends Season 3, Episode 4 to the first week of November, creating a special out-of-season premiere.
Smiling Friends Take a Halloween Break
This week some unexpected news came out for Smiling Friends fans. The fourth episode of the third season will not be aired at the time it was planned. The Adult Swim animated series is on a one-week break before coming back with a Halloween-themed episode.

The episode named ‘Curse of the Green Halloween Witch’, will now air on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at 11:30 PM ET on Adult Swim. It is available the next day for streaming on HBO Max.
What to Expect from Episode 4
This episode special introduces some supernatural chaos at the workplace. A mysterious Halloween witch breaks into the Smiling Friends office and casts an evil curse. Pim, Charlie, and the whole crew have to face magical mayhem and remain faithful to their mission of making people happy.
The episode is the perfect blend of the absurdist humor characteristic of the show with the elements of horror. Power outages hit the office. Glep becomes possessed. Anarchy prevails in unpredictable manners.
Why the delay?
It may sound strange to broadcast a Halloween episode after Halloween, but Smiling Friends viewers are used to off-season specials. The Silly Halloween Special, which was the first episode of Season 1, was released in January 2022. The creepiest episode of Season 2 was released in May 2024.
Program created by Michael Cusack and Zach Hadel, the show is the largest Adult Swim success since Rick and Morty. Seasons 4 and 5 of the series have already been renewed.
Season 3 is expected to last 10 episodes and end on November 23, 2025. So make sure you don’t miss this spooky adventure when it airs next week.
