The 2025 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony made music history on November 8 at the Peacock Theatre in LA. Celebrating diverse hip-hop artists as well as grunge legends, showcasing performances by Elton John, Olivia Rodrigo, and more.
Music legends unite
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inducted its 2025 class at a glamorous event at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles downtown. This was the event which was livestreamed on Disney+, and the list of inductees was incredible, covering several genres and decades.

This Year’s Inductees
This year seven artists participated in the performer category. Hip-hop duo outkast, who had hit songs such as ‘Hey Ya’ and ‘Ms. Jackson’ got their honors with Donald Glover presenting the award. Cyndi Lauper, a pop icon, known for Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, Time After Time, was inducted by rising star Chappell Roan.
Soundgarden rock legends got their spot after being nominated thrice. The White Stripes, Bad Company, and first-time nominees Chubby Checker and Joe Cocker were also inducted into the Hall. At age 83, Checker finally got recognition for his iconic song ‘The Twist’.
Musical Influence Awards
Salt-N-Pepa was the first female rap artist to receive the Musical Influence Award. This was also a prestigious award bestowed on the late singer-songwriter Warren Zevon.
The Star-Studded Performance
The show witnessed stunning performances by Doja Cat, Olivia Rodrigo, Elton John, and Janelle Monáe. During an Outkast tribute, Big Boi sang along with Killer Mike and Doja Cat. Simon Kirke of Bad Company performed with Nancy Wilson and Joe Perry.
The induction ceremony this year once again proved why the Rock Hall is the most prestigious award in the world of music. It honors the artists that have influenced generations with their outstanding contributions and breakthroughs in the history of rock and roll.
