Good news for horror movie fans. The third episode of the frightening Prequel series by Stephen King will be released this weekend. Pennywise is back, and here’s everything you need to know.
When is Episode 3 Released?
IT: Welcome to Derry episode 3 will air on Sunday, November 9, 2025. It is available on HBO Max and can be streamed at 6 PM PT / 9 PM ET. The episode will also be airing on HBO cable at 9 PM ET. On the same day at 6:30 AM IST, Indian viewers can watch the horror series on JioHotstar.
Why the wait?
Episode 2 was released early on October 31 in celebration of Halloween. This special episode left a long break before Episode 3. But trust us the wait is worth it.

What to Expect?
The new episode is going to be intensely dramatic. Hank Grogan, who is accused of murder, is in prison on frightening charges. His daughter Ronnie collaborates with Lilly Bainbridge and Will Hanlon to help prove his innocence. In the meantime, Halloran is searching for a mystical weapon, and he is tortured by carnival visions of the creepy world. The episode proceeds with the exploration of the dark side of Pennywise in 1960s Derry, Maine.
The Complete Episode Schedule
The horror prequel series is eight episodes and continues until December 14. Every Sunday, new episodes are released on HBO Max and HBO. The rest of the schedule features the fourth episode (November 16), fifth episode (November 23), sixth episode (November 30), seventh episode (December 7), and the seasonal finale (December 14).
Star-studded cast
Bill Skarsgård returns in his chilling performance as Pennywise. The cast includes Chris Chalk, Jovan Adepo, Taylour Paige, and James Remar. The series is developed by Andy and Barbara Muschietti, with Jason Fuchs, and discusses the origins of evil in Derry.
