Amazon Prime Video has officially confirmed that Fallout Season 2 will be released on December 17, 2025, and new episodes will be released weekly until February 4, 2026. Prepare to go back to the wasteland as Lucy and the Ghoul head to New Vegas.
Fallout season 2 Official Release date: When to stream the post-apocalyptic hit on Prime Video?
Fans of the post-apocalyptic drama need not wait for long. Fallout Season 2 will be released on the 17th of December 2025 on Amazon Prime Video. The much-hyped series will consist of eight episodes, with the new ones coming out weekly on Wednesday until the season finale on February 4, 2026.
Weekly Release Schedule Changes Everything
The streaming giant has decided on a weekly release format unlike season 1, when it released all episodes at once in April 2024. This is a strategic move that ensures viewers stay engaged and entertained during the holiday season and builds anticipation. The first episode comes in the middle of December and it is the perfect winter treat for fans.

Journey to New Vegas
Season 2 takes Lucy MacLean, played by Ella Purnell, and the Ghoul to the classic New Vegas setting. The trailer shows that there are a series of action-packed sequences, such as a fight with a Deathclaw, and the appearance of Mr. House, who is played by Justin Theroux. The story moves on with Lucy trying to confront her father Hank MacLean.
New addition to the Star Cast
Macaulay Culkin and Kumail Nanjiani appear in mysterious roles in this new season. Initial videos hint at associations with popular video game characters, such as the possible appearances of Caesar Legion and other franchise favorites. Returning actors are Aaron Moten, Kyle MacLachlan, and Walton Goggins.
Season 3 is already greenlit
Amazon is confident about the series which is quite evident. In May 2025, months before the premiere of Season 2, Season 3 was renewed. This promise will keep the saga of Wasteland going for many years to come. Season 2 was filmed earlier this year, despite California wildfire setbacks.
