The eight-part series tracks the life of a 27-year-old woman, Maia, portrayed by Sennott, who tries to find her way in the city of Los Angeles and its lifestyle, love, and career ambitions. The plot is interesting as her long-lost best friend Tallulah, played by Odessa A’zion, unexpectedly arrives in LA. Their intricate backgrounds and their opposite personalities provide the perfect blend of both comic situations and emotional drama.
The relationship between Sennott and A’zion is awesome. You either have chemistry or you do not, and I just mesh with Rachel very well, A’zion said in a recent interview. This instinctive bond shines through every scene, and their friendship on screen is genuine and involved.
