Stan Confessions To What Fans Were Thinking
Creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone did something they had never done before Halloween. To counter criticism by the audience for the heavy political tone of the show, Stan Marsh publicly admits, “South Park sucks now,” to the audience. This follows the job dismissal of his father Randy during a government shutdown. The family relocates to a retirement home, and Stan feels frustrated.
But there’s a twist. To change the situation, the kids launched a cryptocurrency meme named South Park Sucks Now. Comedy Central also registered the domain SouthParkSucksNow.com which redirects to the official site.
White House Gets Haunted
The Halloween episode involves Donald Trump dealing with supernatural problems. He is haunted by the ghost of Melania, who he destroys the East Wing of the White House. Attorney General Pam Bondi holds a seance with political leaders such as Brendan Carr and Kristi Noem. Even paranormal researchers Ed and Lorraine Warren appear in cameos.
Changes in the schedule and Where to Watch
Comedy Central shocked fans by shifting the episode from Wednesday to Halloween Friday night. It was broadcast at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central. It is available to stream on Paramount + beginning Saturday morning. The next few episodes will air on November 12, November 26, and December 10.
This Halloween episode shows that South Park is still pushing boundaries and still has the classic satirical appeal.
