The popular Netflix romantic comedy series “Nobody Wants This” will come back with Season 2 on October 23, 2025, and reunite with favorite couples Joanne and Noah. What Makes Season 2 Special?
Some changes this season make this a super exciting series. Kristen Bell and Adam Brody reappear as the unbelievable couple, an agnostic podcaster and a progressive rabbi. But the real surprise is that Brody is joined on-screen as Leighton Meester, his real-life wife playing the role of Abby, a middle school competitor of Joanne who became an Instagram mommy influencer. This is the first time that the married couple is sharing the screen together.
Season 2 shifts gears. Its creator, Erin Foster, calls it how will they rather than will they, won’t they? The show resumes only a few weeks after the end of Season 1. Joanne and Noah are having real relationship issues including family-related and religious conversion.
New Star Cast
The show also introduced some fresh faces. Seth Rogen also made a guest appearance. Arian Moayed is a psychotherapist portraying the role of Dr. Andy. Miles Fowler is brought in as Lenny, the possible lover of Joanne’s sister Morgann.

In Season 2, there are new showrunners. The role of HBO’s Girls is taken over by Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan with Foster as executive producer. It began in March and wrapped in May 2025.
